Don’t forget. This is a call for kindness.
Your kindness.
Fires now burn out of control. Climate change and racial injustice cry out for change.
Unemployment soars. There is great political unrest.
The rising sun is reflected on the road.
And then there is the pandemic.
You can make choices, even in the middle of all this.
Don’t forget…
Don’t Forget
A poem met me in the night and whispered,
Don’t forget…
Don’t forget that so many feel afraid right now.
Don’t forget that many are anxious right now.
Don’t forget.
Don’t forget that during this time the future is uncertain
And we are learning to live in this moment
For many this is difficult and not what they want to do.
They want to know that their lives are safe.
“Right now” does not feel like a happy place.
Don’t forget..
These responses come out in many ways: anger, fear, depression.
They come out in short tempered, mean remarks
with a whole lot of forgetting to look out for others.
Don’t forget…
And don’t take it personally.
It is not about you.
Don’t forget…
Don’t forget that the ones who irritate you the most
Need the most grace.
The best way to love God is to love one another..
Don’t forget.

My writing sword can be a sharp one.
Sometimes that is exactly what is needed.
Thanks for continuing to reach out. I am trying to clear a space in my head for me to be able to write again. My words, my thoughts my feelings are in here just very difficult to express myself even in the best of times. You keep reminding me that the creative self needs its time to break out and I have started writing AGAIN.
This is so beautiful and filled with so much wisdom. I will not forget.
